Day 1 – Camel trek from M’hamid to Ras N’khal 

In the village of M’hamid, you will meet your local guides. The camel caravan is now ready, you can start this Sahara camel trekking 5 days. 

You admire the landscapes of the Sahara, enjoy walking in the golden sand, the silence… You will walk in the Sahara for two hours. If you are tired, you can do a camel ride. A stop for lunch is planned in the shade of tamarisk trees.

On this first day, your camel trek Morocco will take you to the dunes of Ras N’khal. It’s a very beautiful place in the palm grove of M’hamid, near to the old village. This is where you will spend your first night in the desert. With your guides, you set up the wild desert camp for the Sahara night. Sunset on the dunes and dinner around a campfire.

Day 2 – Sahara camel trekking from Ras N’khal to Sidi Naji

On the second day, after breakfast, you resume your Morocco camel trekking in the Sahara. You walk near Oued Drâa and cross palm grove and places with tamarisks. Your trek is about 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. You take the direction of Sidi Naji.

After the desert plateau “hamada“, a place to the “erg”, place covered with dunes. It is at the foot of the dunes of Sidi Naji that will be installed the nomadic camp for the night.

Day 3 – Visit of Erg Zahar – “the screaming dunes

After discovering the dunes of Sidi Naji, on the 3rd day, the caravan go towards the big dunes of Erg Zahar also called “the screaming dunes“. That’s one of the most beautiful dunes in the M’hamid desert. 

Your Sahara camel trekking 5 days continues and you advance further in the desert.

From Erg Zahar, you can admire a magical view of the desert and dunes overlooking the Drâa Valley. You will spend the third night of your camel trek Morocco at Erg Zahar.

Day 4 – From the big dunes of Erg Zahar, camel trip to Erg Aït Ounir

The 4th day of your Morocco desert trek program is characterized by landscapes that change all day long … It is the Sahara in all its beauty.

After Erg Zahar, you will take the direction of the dunes of Aït Ounir. You discover places with acacias, dunes dotted with tamaris … Sahara wild camping overnight.

Day 5 – Sahara camel trekking 5 days : Erg Aït Ounir and back to M’hamid 

You start the fifth day of your Sahara camel trekking in the Morocco desert. After having taken advantage of the dunes of Aït Ounir, you way will bring you to the Ras N’khal dunes. 

Your Morocco camel tour from M’hamid is coming to an end. You leave the camels and your guides in the village of M’hamid but you keep a lot of inforgettable memories about this Morocco desert experience!
