Ouarzazate to Merzouga tour 2 days : Skoura – The Valley of Roses – Dades Gorges– Erg Chebbi

You start your Morocco Sahara tour from Ouarzazate in the morning. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel for your 4X4 desert excursion to Merzouga. 

You go first to the Oasis of Skoura, located about 40 kilometers from the city of Ouarzazate. The Oasis of Skoura is a large palm grove which is still inhabited. You will admire the beautiful kasbahs among the palm trees. The Oasis of Skoura is one of the places to visit if you spend a stay in Ouarzazate, or if you are doing a South Morocco tour. 

After the Oasis of Skoura, you take the road to the Valley of Roses. You have the opportunity to visit the cooperatives manufacturer of products derived from the rose. Morocco is famous for its roses! Many cosmetic products are made with the essence of roses from Morocco. Enjoy a unique olfactory moment.

After that, during your Ouarzazate to Merozuga tour, you visit the Dades Gorges located in the Moroccan High Atlas. You will also pass through the Todra Gorges. 

Then, you go to Erfoud’s direction (or Arfoud), a city located in an oasis and located north of Rissani. Erfoud is known as the cradle of the Alawite dynasty.

You will pass by the city of Rissani before arriving at Merzouga, a city located in the Sahara Desert. In the evening, enjoy a camel ride in Erg Chebbi for the sunset. Merzouga desert trip – visit the Drâa Valley – N’Kob – Agdz – Tamnougalt 

After breakfast, your 2-day Ouarzazate Merzouga tour continues. You take the road to the Drâa Valley by 4X4. You pass by the city of Alnif, Tazzarine and N’Kob before continuing towards Agdz. 

Most of the Morocco desert excursions from Ouarzazate pass through Agdz. It’s a beautiful city in South Morocco to visit on your travel to the Sahara if you go to Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga. 

A little further, in Tamnougalt, a beautiful Ksar located in the oasis of the Drâa Valley, a stop is planned for lunch before going back to Ouarzazate.

Tamnougalt is located a hundred kilometers from the city. It’s a place to visit during your Morocco desert tour from Ouarzazate because of the beautiful view on the Anti-Atlas and the palm grove. You can also visit an old typical Kasbah. After lunch, you take the road to reach Ouarzazate.
