Weekend Morocco desert 3 days from Marrakech – Sahara desert camp – Activities Morocco holidays

Day 1

Marrakech – Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora – Mhamid

Your driver will pick you up in Marrakech. You will then take the road that passes through the High Atlas and Tizi’n’Tichka pass to get to Ouarzazate. Break on the road to have tea. You will admire the beautiful landscapes of the Atlas. Before arriving in Ouarzazate, you will take a break at the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit and lunch on site.

You will then continue your journey to Ouarzazate. You will cross the beautiful Draa Valley. The road will take you along the palm grove and small traditional villages. The Anti-Atlas offers beautiful landscapes in red-ocher tones that contrast with the green date-palms …The road will take you along the palm grove and small traditional villages. Break at Agdz and Zagora. You will arrive at the end of the afternoon in our desert camp in Mhamid. Installation in the nomadic tents and dinner at the desert camp. You can now enjoy your weekend in the Morocco desert…

Day 2

Mhamid desert camp – Chegaga dunes – Sahara camel ride

The second day of your weekend in the Sahara is devoted to an activity – visit of the Erg Chegaga dunes.

After breakfast at the desert camp, you can enjoy a 4X4 visit to Erg Chigaga. Departure in the morning towards the dunes of Chegaga. Lunch will be taken in a beautiful Oasis on your way to Chegaga. You will share a good moment with Sahrawi nomads!

The dunes of Erg Chigaga are the highest in Moroccan Sahara. 

Enjoy a camel ride in Erg Chegaga and then return to the nomadic camp in Mhamid. In the evening animations (songs, traditional music) and dinner at our Sahara desert camp. You can also take a moment to walk in the dunes, read a book in one of the hammocks or simply relax in the traditional tent drinking tea and discussing with nomads…

Day 3

Mhamid desert camp – Zagora – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

If you wake up early in the morning, you can admire the sunrise in the desert, before a walk in the dunes and tasty breakfast in the camp.

After that, you say goodbye to the beautiful Sahara and you take the road in the Drâa Valley. On your way back, you will enjoy a visit to the pottery workshops in Tamgroute.

Your trip continues. At noon, stop at the Kasbah Tamnougalt for lunch. Then, you continue in the direction of Ouarzazate. You will cross the High Atlas and the Tizi’n’Tichka pass to arrive in Marrakech. Arrival in Marrakech at the end of the day.
